Ellijay Table Tennis Club is now forming!

Come play or learn to play what has been called the fastest sport in the world. All levels of players are welcome—youth and adults—beginners, advanced and those who used to play and have not picked up a paddle in a long time. This club is for players who want to have fun and learn to play their best possible game.

Register For Upcoming Events:

Adults —

Come play Saturdays 8:30 - 11:00 am! Table Tennis is a great way to exercise and maintain hand-to-eye coordination. All levels of players are welcome. If you have played in the past, the game will come back to you very quickly.

Our club will start a league once the required number of players have enrolled. In the meantime, come play Saturdays—open sessions. Members will be able to reserve play time at other times during the week not reserved for league play.

Table Tennis for Teens —

Young people are encouraged to come and participate in our junior program. Learn to play the game the way it is meant to be played! Boys and girls, 12 to 16, learn together, play and compete with one another in league and tournament play.

Once we have the required number of players enrolled, we will schedule classes, form leagues and sponsor tournaments for our players under 17. You're also welcome to come and play during open sessions Saturday mornings, 8:30 - 11:00.

Cost —

** Everyone is welcome to play regardless of ability to pay **

Suggested Donation:
Adults— $20 a month or $5 per play.
Youth (under 18) — $10 a month or $3 per play.

 

Training —

Our club will provide training tools for your use to advance your playing level.

1) Table Tennis robot — Robot automatically serves balls at various speeds so you can practice appropriate response time and perfect your stroke and follow through techniques.
 

2) Video tape review — Upon request, our staff will video tape your play to give you an opportunity to compare and adjust your serves, returns and follow through to training videos filmed by world class players.

3) Clinics with national known coaches — Clinics will be available from time to time with experts in the field to teach and instruct members on how to improve their play.
